R&D Engineer – Mechanical or Electrical Bias
💼 Permanent | Global engineering group | New product introduction
I’m supporting a well‑established engineering manufacturer (part of a larger international technology group) as they expand their R&D team.
They are hiring two R&D Engineers — one mechanically biased and one electrically biased — to support a major technology transfer programme from mainland Europe into the UK
, alongside ongoing product development.
This role sits between design and manufacturing, focused on turning engineering concepts into reliable, production‑ready machinery.
What you’ll be involved in- Supporting new product introduction & technology transfer
- Developing and improving machinery for manufacture
- Testing, validation and problem solving
- Working closely with design, production and engineering teams
- Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Background in machinery, automation or equipment development
- A strong practical / process engineering mindset
- Comfortable solving real‑world engineering problems (not purely desk‑based)
Mechanical bias: mechanisms, materials handling, assemblies, reliability
Electrical bias: controls hardware, sensors, drives, integration
Why consider it- Investment‑backed growth and new technology coming into the UK
- Opportunity to influence future product platforms
- Stable business within a global group
If you enjoy making machines work in the real world — not just on drawings — this is a good one to explore.
