Petrofac is seeking a Facilities Engineer - Fixed Term PAYE based in Aberdeen, UK.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Engineering project management of modification, repair order and project work scopes. This involves working closely with Petrofac engineering and various third-party contractors.

  • Ensure appropriate engineering standards and management of change controls are met in the design and execution of repairs and fabric maintenance activities.

  • Involved in the prioritisation, co-ordination and planning of repairs and fabric maintenance scopes. This requires working with a range of internal and external service providers to identify the most appropriate methods for the execution of repairs.

  • Asset focal point for FCR’s (Facilities Change Request); ensuring clear communications between the offshore crew, onshore asset team and engineering contractors.

  • Ensure all FCR’s are properly defined, executed, commissioned and closed out to the required standard.

  • Responsible for supporting the successful implementation of workscopes offshore, this involves communication with the operations team and the construction crew to ensure activities are planned and completed in a safe and timely manner.

  • Construction crew co-ordination - assist with manning, material co-ordination, tooling requirements, workscope support and planning.

  • Act as the interface between Petrofac and client to ensure project compliance is in line with Petrofac standards.

  • Develop project plans that integrate into the asset planning process to meet the company’s business objectives and effectively communicate facilities engineering activities both onshore and offshore.

  • Support the development and execution of planned shutdown work scopes. In addition, co-ordinate small platform outages and shutdowns.

  • Ensure effective handover of work scopes between engineering and operations.

  • Ensure vendor equipment availability and timely offshore shipment for workscopes.

  • Set and manage budgets for modification, repair and fabric maintenance activities.

  • Continual monitoring of performance and outcome of repairs, modifications and fabric maintenance activities.

  • Involvement in the closeout of asset Legacy Projects.

  • Project carryover punchlist co-ordination (GOC).

    Knowledge and Qualifications

    • Offshore survival, medical and Mist certification.

    • Degree qualified or with significant experience working in the oil and gas industry or similar industry.

    • Must be able to demonstrate continuing personal and professional development. Professional membership as applicable supported.
