JOB TITLE:SITE LIFTING FOCAL POINT
The post is based on Arbroath on a 3/3 rotation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- To ensure all Lifting Operations on site are carried out in accordance with Standard for Lifting Operations HSE-PRO-TLM-128 & ENG-STM-TLM-005.
- To co-ordinate and carry out safe and efficient logistics and support services on site in compliance with all relevant legislation
- Live’ our Petrofac Values and apply them in day-to-day work.
- To review and approve all lifting operations, lifting plans and risk assessments
- Determine suitable levels of Supervision for complex and complicated lifts in conjunction with Site Management
- Responsible for ensuring all personnel involved in lifting operations meet the minimum competence standards, including operation of forklift trucks
- Ensure all lifting equipment used on site is fully certified in compliance with the standard
- Carry out audits on lifting operations to ensure compliance with TLM-128 & TLM-005
- Liaise with Onshore Support and appropriate offshore departments for effective planning of Lifting Operations ensuring approvals in place where required.
- Identify and propose ideas and solutions that will increase efficiency in cost or time without loss of integrity and present idea(s) to relevant management
- Support and improve team performance by sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Participate in PFM competence scheme including any multi skilled role in accordance with the relevant competence framework
- Adopt a flexible working attitude to provide support across all departments to ensure team success
- Create, maintain & enhance effective working relations and identify and minimise interpersonal conflict
- Maintain effective communication with all work colleagues at all levels
- Ensure comprehensive records and logs are maintained and effective handovers are carried out at shift and crew change
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and be able to apply it in the workplace
- Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to Petrofac’s life saving rules.
- Ensure all work is conducted in full compliance with HS&E policy, procedures and Safety Management System
- Be familiar with and follow the Golden Rules for Health and Safety at all times
- Comply with all relevant PFM HS&E policies and procedures where appropriate
- Actively participate and support all and PFM Health, Safety & Environmental plans, initiatives and improvements
- Carry out all activities in accordance with ISSOW including the following:
- Comprehensive and detailed Risk Assessments and Toolbox Talks
- Stop and re-asses any job where change is identified
- Report all accidents and incidents, lead and participate in incident investigations where required
- Carry out Emergency Response duties in accordance with requirements
- Carry out audits to ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedure and site directives
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- NVQ level 3 Moving Loads or Diploma ECITB Moving Engineering Construction Loads
- ECITB Appointed Persons Moving Loads Stage 3 / 4
- OPITO Rigging Assessment Stage 3 or 4
- OPITO Banksman/Slinging Operations to Stage 3 or 4
- LOLER planning and Risk Assessment
- Lifting Gear Inspection/Examiner
- ISSoW - Permit Vision software training
- Relevant Supervisory Training
- Working at Height Unit 2 - PPE User
- Experience in Lifting Operations
- Previous experience with Maximo or similar CMMS
- Computer literate including use of Microsoft office suite
