About the Opportunity

We are supporting a major owner/operator in Aberdeen who requires an experienced Rotating Equipment Specialist to join their operational support team. This is a key role within a high‑performing asset team, providing technical expertise across a wide range of rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a central role in maintaining safe, reliable and efficient operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing operational technical support across all rotating equipment

• Working extensively on gas turbines, compressors and pumps

• Planning and coordinating work scopes with vendors and offshore personnel

• Leading and contributing to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations

• Managing technical queries, equipment breakdowns and urgent troubleshooting

• Supporting Management of Change (MoC) processes

• Organising and overseeing major overhauls and shutdown activities

• Approving Maximo change requests and equipment‑related budgets

• Participating in daily and weekly operational calls, including morning calls and shutdown meetings

About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

• Extensive hands‑on experience with rotating equipment in the oil & gas sector

• Strong background with gas turbines, compressors and pumps

• Proven operational support experience within an offshore/asset environment

• Solid understanding of maintenance planning, vendor management and RCA

• Ability to work collaboratively with onshore and offshore teams

• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills

Qualifications & Requirements

• HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering (minimum)

• Valid offshore survival certification

• Valid offshore medical

• Right to work in the UK
