Reliability Engineer

Location:

Poland/Portugal/Romania

A global logistics and transportation company is looking for a Reliability Engineer with strong control systems expertise. This role has a particular focus on predictive maintenance, data analysis, and continuous reliability improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and improve system, equipment, and process reliability to meet performance and safety standards
  • Analyse performance and failure data to identify trends and patterns
  • Develop data analysis tools and dashboards, including AI-based functionalities
  • Perform reliability analysis using tools such as FMECA, RCA, RCM, and Reliability Block Diagrams
  • Identify failure modes, risks, and vulnerabilities, and implement mitigation strategies
  • Plan and execute reliability testing and document results
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to integrate Design for Reliability (DFR) principles
  • Develop and optimise maintenance strategies to extend asset life and minimise downtime
  • Prepare and present reliability performance reports to management
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across reliability processes
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial or related field)
  • 3-5 years of dedicated experience in Maintenance
  • Mandatory expertise in PLC and control systems
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with reliability engineering methodologies (FMECA, RCA, RCM, Reliability Block Diagrams)
  • Proficiency in data visualisation and analysis tools such as Power BI, advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Power Pivot), and SharePoint (Power Automate, SharePoint Lists)
  • Project management skills and ability to lead reliability improvement initiatives
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification is a plus
