Senior Structural Designer

CB&I is seeking a Structural Designer 3 – Contractor for 9 months based in Aberdeen, UK.

The role is outside IR35 and we invite Limited Companies to engage.

The scope of services will be reviewed should there be a significant change to client support requirements.

• Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure for the energy sector.
• Providetechnicalinformation to support estimates for project work scopes
• Provide technical expertise to the resolution of technical queries ensuring that all design changes are captured by the change control process
• Conduct site surveyson offshore or onshore assets
• Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews / HAZIDS
• provide checking of structural drawings
• Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on technical project issues
• Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards
• Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Qualitypoliciesand procedures as appropriate

• Computer literate in Microsoft office applications and relevant discipline specific software
• AutoCAD 2D & 3D

• Ability to investigate and interpret data
• willing to travel offshore/site and capable of completing site surveys
• Experience with in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry will be preferable but not essential
• Suitable design experience within other engineering industries will be considered where appropriate.
