Partner with the bestThe Cost Engineer/Estimator will drive cost accuracy and cost competitiveness. You will work with the product team to prepare cost models for a global portfolio of pursuits and enable the bid to execute transition for our projects. The position offers a fantastic pathway into more senior and wider positions within the business.
As the Cost Estimator, you will be responsible for:- Elaborating the cost estimates to ensure costs are in line with project requirements.
- Providing elaboration reports and analysis to support the decision process.
- Identifying and challenging efficiency improvements and cost out opportunities.
- Developing methods and tools to help our engineers design to cost.
- Conducting benchmarking studies and promoting cost standardization.
- Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and costing processes.
- Developing training for employees related to the costing process.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Accounting or equivalent from an accredited university.
- Have good working experience in Engineering Projects, Project Management and Cost estimation process.
- Have experience in Advanced Excel and Power Bi.
- Show the ability to lead and coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and the ability to influence others.
- Demonstrate experience of working with cross-functional teams within a global-matrix environment.
- Be of an analytical mindset with a proven ability to resolve problems and identify solutions.
- Have a permanent work permit in UK.
