We are hiring 2 Offshore Electrical Technicians to join our Assets & Operations Department.

The primary role of the Offshore Electrical Technician is to ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of MDL Flex-lay assets' whilst offshore. This involves working with a range of electrical equipment, control systems, and associated components used in the flex-lay operations of MDL equipment.

• 1. Offshore Operations:
  Safely and proficiently performing operations with MDL flex lay assets to deliver client missions.
• 2. Electrical System Inspections:
  Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and components on offshore rental assets to identify potential issues, defects, or areas requiring maintenance.
• 3. Mechanical System Inspections:
  Assist mechanics when required to carry out inspections of mechanical systems and components on offshore rental assets to identify potential issues, defects, or areas requiring maintenance.
• 4. Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
  Perform electrical troubleshooting to identify the root cause of malfunctions, failures, or performance issues. Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to diagnose electrical problems accurately.
• 5. Maintenance and Repair:
  Carry out maintenance and repair activities on electrical systems, including wiring, switches, circuit breakers, control panels, lighting systems, and other electrical components. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and industry standards during all maintenance and repair tasks.
• 6. Equipment Calibration:
  Calibrate electrical equipment and instruments to maintain accurate readings and ensure proper functionality.
• 7. Preventive Maintenance:
  Implement preventive maintenance measures to minimize the occurrence of electrical faults, failures, and breakdowns. Develop and follow maintenance schedules for electrical systems and components.
• 8. Component Replacement:
  Replace faulty or damaged electrical components, such as fuses, relays, contractors, motors, and sensors, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
• 9. Compliance and Safety Adherence:
  Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards during all maintenance and rectification activities. Identify and address potential safety hazards promptly.
• 10. Documentation and Reporting:
  Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed. Prepare detailed reports on electrical issues, repairs, and recommendations for improvement.
