Location: Aberdeen City

Overview

Lead Product Planner for a large subsea project. Responsible for planning, schedule quality, and on-time project delivery. Reports to the Materials Manager. The role focuses on coordinating with planners and execution functions to ensure an integrated and accurate project schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Scheduling Management: Own the overall project schedule management, ensuring quality (logic, clarity) and accuracy (updates reflecting scope of supply).
  • Coordinating: Collaborate with other planners (product line planners and engineering planners) and with execution functions (engineering, procurement, manufacturing) to ensure schedule quality and accuracy.
  • Supporting Project Management: Act as right-hand to the project manager, providing visibility on lookaheads, schedule risks and mitigation actions, and opportunities; provide relevant reports to enable informed decisions for on-time and on-budget execution.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate schedule updates, challenges, and opportunities to customers.
  • Process Adherence and Improvement: Adhere to approved processes and drive new initiatives for fully integrated planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or relevant experience.
  • Experience in planning, ideally in oil and gas/subsea or related large-scale mechanical manufacturing or controls equipment environments.
  • Knowledge of Oracle MRP is a plus.
  • Ability to understand project status and link schedule to execution reality.
  • Ability to identify risks and opportunities in the schedule and drive appropriate actions.
  • Strong expertise in planning large projects and using Primavera P6.
  • High energy, motivation to deliver, and the ability to make a difference.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a team of planners and interact with a broad range of contributors to project performance.
