Contract
  • The successful candidate will complete a 4-6 month internal training programme based at our Cairn robin facility, working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm.
  • Upon successful completion of the training programme, the role will transition to an offshore-only position, with remuneration based on 160 offshore days per year, working 12-hour shifts.
Core Purpose
  • To carry out the inspection, maintenance, repair, testing and certification of offshore helicopter refuelling (helifuel) systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in full compliance with current legislation, industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Mobilise independently to pre-arranged offshore installations, in line with schedules issued by the planning team, to undertake quarterly and annual helifuel system inspections, servicing, maintenance, surveys, helideck friction testing, helideck audits, helideck crew training, system commissioning and certification, ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and industry standards.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of all relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards applicable to helifuel systems, ensuring all inspections and certification activities are carried out in accordance with current requirements and guidance issued by the Technical Manager.
  • Take full responsibility for ensuring all required personal protective equipment (PPE), tools, consumables, documentation, reports and relevant information are prepared and available prior to mobilisation, enabling work to be carried out safely, efficiently and without supervision.
  • Report to the designated check-in location in sufficient time before departure, ensuring all required identification, certification and travel documentation are available and valid prior to mobilisation.
  • Complete all mandatory training, competency requirements and permit processes, while complying with client and installation-specific rules, procedures and regulatory requirements always.
  • Prepare, complete and submit accurate Offshore Inspection Reports and certification documentation to the client within agreed timescales, ensuring all records are complete, compliant and maintained to a high professional standard.
  • Ensure all timesheets and client-specific documentation are accurately completed and signed by the appropriate client representative prior to departing the offshore installation.
  • Submit signed timesheets and authorised expense claims promptly.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity and courtesy always when representing the company at client offshore installations, onshore facilities and training locations.
  • Attend and successfully complete all required training courses, refresher programmes and competency assessments to maintain compliance with company, client and industry standards.
  • Always act as a professional ambassador for the company, protecting and promoting its reputation while identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships and support business growth.
  • Comply with all applicable local laws, regulations and road traffic legislation when travelling or driving on company business, always ensuring safe and responsible conduct.
QHSE Responsibilities

To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG's QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.

Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.
