We are currently seeking a Electronic Systems Engineer to work within our existing team in Aberdeen.
As a Systems Engineer within our Subsea Acoustics team, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering advanced subsea acoustic and wireless positioning systems. Working across the full engineering lifecycle, you will contribute to innovative and field‑proven technologies that are deployed and supported globally in demanding offshore environments.

Challenges:- Designing and delivering solutions to agreed requirements and specification.
- Supporting projects to meet customer deadlines and specifications. Able to respond to changes in these targets.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues as they arise during design, production and deployment of solutions.
- Provide technical expertise to sales and service departments globally.
- Proactively managing engineering improvements and driving continuous improvement.
- Taking responsibility for technical quality and contributing to on‑time delivery within ahigh‑performing team.
- Acquire and deploy understanding of Imenco Future Technologies acoustic /audio / DSP technology domain.
- Acquire and deploy understanding of Imenco Future Technologies solutions for subsea wireless positioning, communications, and diver communications.
- Analyse problems, to specify, design, and implement hardware and firmware solutions to these problems, and test development.
- Produce relevant documentation for various architectures across the development lifecycle,including hardware design documents, simulations, schematics, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams, bill of materials, hardware design inspection reports, hardware prototype test specification, interface specifications.
- Develop test firmware for hardware designs where appropriate.
- Conduct hardware preliminary, prototype and detailed design reviews.
- Conduct hardware and systems integration and Acceptance Testing.
- Comfortable working on multiple projects.
- Use of in‑house design tools e.g. Altium, AutoCAD.
- Unit, integration and acceptance testing using different operating systems on various platforms (e.g. Linux, Windows, embedded microcontrollers, etc.).
