Mechanical Engineer

Currently we’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our client in Aberdeen on a 4-month contract.

This project will require an initial on-site presence for training and onboarding, hybrid/remote flexibility once up to speed.

In order to suit the project requirements you should have some of the following:

• Mechanical engineering background with experience interpreting engineering drawings
• Experience with engineering drawing markups (redlining / PDF annotation)
• Experience working with Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
• Exposure to PLM systems or similar engineering document control tools
• Understanding of manufacturing fundamentals such as threads, plating processes (pre/post plating), and BOM structures
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills for tracking progress and effort
• Ability to follow structured engineering processes and work through a high volume of drawing updates
• Eligibility for BPSS (defence-related environment)

This is a requirement that will begin ASAP, with interviews to take place as soon as suitable profiles are identified.
