ROLE
- Working closely with operations, maintenance, projects and integrity teams, the successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of structural integrity strategies, inspection programmes and risk-based plans to support regulatory compliance and long-term asset performance. The role will play a key part in enabling informed, risk-based decisions that support safe, efficient and sustainable operations.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills will be essential, ensuring technical issues, risks, priorities and recommended actions are clearly communicated and understood at all levels of the organisation.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of structural integrity strategies and programmes.
- Identify, assess and communicate structural risks to support informed, risk-based business decisions.
- Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams on structural compliance, defect management, repair strategies and asset life-extension activities.
- Collaborate with and influence key stakeholders across operations, maintenance, projects and integrity disciplines.
- Engage effectively with regulators, independent verifiers and external technical specialists to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree-qualified in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant structural engineering experience within the UK oil and gas industry, ideally involving offshore production assets.
- Strong understanding of asset integrity management, structural degradation mechanisms and risk-based inspection practices.
- Sound knowledge of relevant UK regulatory requirements, engineering codes and industry standards.
- Proven ability to assess complex structural challenges and provide practical, risk-based engineering solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership with a recognised professional institution, is desirable.
