Sunrise Partnership (SC044859) is a small, local charity supporting children and young people (up to18) across

Aberdeen and Aberdeenshirewho have experienced a significant loss or bereavement.

We’re looking for a
Treasurer Trustee (Volunteer)to join our friendly Board and strengthen our financial oversightandgovernance.

What you’ll bring and why it matters:

You’ll help the Board understand our financial position through clear updates, and supportbudgeting, monitoring, and financial decision-making. You’ll also help ensurerobust financial controlsare in place, so we remain financially sustainable and well-governed in line with our mission and values.

What the role involves:

You’ll contribute to proportionate, practical oversight of charity finances, helping the charity plan confidently around expected income, expenditure, and financial risks. You’ll work collaboratively with trustees from a range of backgrounds, supporting good records and transparent reporting that fits a small charity.

Time commitment:

We hold
10 evening trustee board meetings per year, in person or online. There are also optional opportunities to attendevents,fundraising, and relevant training, depending on your availability and interest.

Who we’d love to hear from:

Applicants from varied professional and personal backgrounds, especially those with finance knowledge fromaccountancy, finance, charity finance, budgeting, banking, audit, or business management. If you’re looking to buildboard-level experiencewhile making a real difference locally, we’d like to hear from you.
