Head Office Accountant

PURPOSE OF ROLE
  • Management of all head office accounts
  • Provide support to enable streamlining and standardisation of head office financial and management reporting
  • Preparation and streamlining of banking payments
  • Support with preparation and improvement of delivery of monthly management accounting information
  • Manage the relationship with auditors for head office accounts
  • Business partner head office roles - People & Culture, Company Secretary
KEY

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Accounting role

  • Managing the Accounts and General ledger of the head office
  • Improvement of the use of SAP in Head Office
  • Ensuring Head Office accounts are compliant with statutory requirements
  • Streamline/standardise weekly banking payments
  • Manage the head office expense system through SAP Concur

Budgeting & Group Activities

  • Preparation and explanation of Head office budget and forecasts
  • Management of Group related costs reported in other Group subsidiaries
  • Management of the intercompany loan process and the cross-charge of group costs to subsidiaries
  • Ensure bank loan repayments are in line with the banking agreement
  • Implementation of a PO system

Business Partner

  • Business partner the global People & Culture team and Company Secretary on budget

Statutory reporting/Financial Reporting

  • Support maintenance and preparation of half-yearly and annual statutory reports for Head Office accounts
  • Ensuring Head Office accounts are compliant with statutory requirements

People

  • Manage and upskill the accounting team
KEY EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • Hold an applicable Accounting Qualification such as ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent
  • Experience of financial process improvement and standardisation
  • Strong excel skills
  • The ability to communicate financial information
  • IFRS and UK GAAP reporting experience
  • Budgeting process
