Accounts Assistant - VR​/32285

A global organisation with a strong presence in Aberdeen is currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance function on a temporary basis through to October 2026. This role offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and fast-paced environment, playing a key role in day-to-day financial operations. This position would suit someone with transactional finance experience who is ready to step in to support a busy team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and processing employee expense submissions.
• Dealing with company card transactions and associated queries.
• Supporting regular payment runs.
• Assisting with daily cashbook and banking activities.
• Supporting reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Investigating and resolving finance related queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and data integrity.

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience within a finance or accounts based role.
• Availability to being a new role on short notice.
• Comfortable working with Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Able to manage workload effectively and work to deadlines.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive and team-oriented approach.
