Finance Assistant

Reed Accountancy are delighted to be supporting a well-established organisation in their search for a Finance Assistant to join their team in Aberdeen.

This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day finance function, with responsibility for purchase and sales ledger activities, reconciliations, reporting, and general financial administration. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of financial information across the business.

Key responsibilities:

• Processing purchase and sales invoices, supplier payments, and employee expenses
• Managing supplier account set-ups, statement reconciliations, and ledger queries
• Posting journals, maintaining petty cash, and supporting month-end activities
• Producing daily financial reports for management and operational teams
• Identifying process improvements while providing general administrative support

We are keen to speak with candidates who have previous purchase and sales ledger experience and are confident working within a busy finance environment. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage deadlines are essential. Good IT skills and a proactive, positive approach to problem-solving would be highly advantageous.
