Financial Controller

FT Recruitment is working with a well-known, locally owned and managed service business that is looking to recruit a Financial Controller on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is a highly responsible role focused on delivering accurate financial information, managing company accounts, and ensuring tax compliance across income tax, VAT, and corporation tax.

Key duties include:

• Preparing financial reports and budgets, analysing cash flow and trends, formulating strategic plans, and identifying cost-reduction opportunities.
• The role involves maintaining accounting systems, ensuring data security, and liaising with auditors and external stakeholders.
• It also includes managing a finance team, staying up to date with financial regulations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies, while supporting wider business projects and priorities.

This role would suit a candidate operating at a senior level within a finance team, ideally with a similar-sized SME. Our client is forward-thinking, dynamic, and acquisition-focused, so experience of a similar environment would be beneficial.
