Finance Manager

Somerset | Hybrid & Flexible Working | Full-Time An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a well-established and purpose-driven organisation based in Somerset. This is a broad and rewarding finance position offering the opportunity to take ownership of day-to-day financial management while also contributing to wider organisational strategy, financial planning and continuous improvement. Working closely with the senior finance team, you will lead and support a small finance function, providing accurate financial information, commercial insight and guidance to colleagues across the organisation.

The Role As Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the organisation has robust financial processes, effective controls and clear financial information to support decision-making. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting a small finance team, providing guidance and helping team members develop. Supporting managers with budgets, forecasts and financial planning. Preparing and interpreting financial information to provide meaningful insight to senior stakeholders. Supporting month-end and management reporting processes. Ensuring appropriate financial controls, compliance and reporting procedures are maintained. Supporting the organisation through the annual audit process. Working closely with operational and project teams to provide financial advice and support.

Helping assess the financial implications of new projects and initiatives. Maintaining and improving financial systems and processes. Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and reporting. Promoting best practice across the wider organisation. Supporting the senior finance team with wider financial and strategic projects. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. A collaborative and approachable personality. Desirable A professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA, or significant equivalent experience.

Experience with in the charity, not-for-profit, public sector or another purpose-led organisation. What's on Offer?
