Housekeeper

The role of Housekeeper is to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and colleagues, ensuring high standards of hygiene, comfort and infection control.

• Cleaning and maintaining bedrooms, communal areas and facilities to a high standard.
• Following cleaning schedules and infection prevention and control procedures.
• Using a range of cleaning products and solutions safely and appropriately for different areas.
• Providing cover for bank holidays, weekends, sickness and annual leave where required.
• Reporting maintenance issues or health and safety concerns promptly.
• Working respectfully around residents and supporting a homely environment.

• Reliable, organised, and take pride in your work.
• Understand the importance of infection control and confident using cleaning products safely within a care environment.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Flexible and positive approach.
• Respect for all aspects of Christian worship.
• Ready to become a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake vetting checks, and adhere to the SSSC Code of practice.
