Primary Care Pharmacy Technician

Hours:

37 hours available (full time). 18 month Fixed Term or Secondment Position.

We have an exciting, fixed term opportunity for an enthusiastic, GPhC registered pharmacy technician to undertake a dual role working within Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership (ACHSCP).

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside pharmacy colleagues to support delivery of the pharmacotherapy service outlined in the 2018 GMS Contract for Scotland on 3 days a week, including medication compliance reviews, dealing with pharmaceutical queries (e.g. shortages), medicine reconciliation and medication management advice for patients and carers.
  • Support prescribing efficiencies work in the City on 2 days to ensure the best use of public funds in prescribing of medicines.
Qualifications
  • GPhC registration.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Full driving licence and ability to use a car.
Working hours

Full time hours: 37 hours per week (reducing to 36 hours per week from 1st April 2026).
