Neurological Rehabilitation Pathway

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to join our Occupational Therapy service within the Specialist Neurological Rehabilitation pathway. If you are an enthusiastic, dynamic, and experienced Occupational Therapist, keen to develop your neurorehabilitation skills and eager to work innovatively in this new role, this could be the post for you.

This post will involve working directly alongside the specialist OT and wider multi-disciplinary teams, flexibly across the neurological rehabilitation pathway within ACHSCP. Duties include supporting the in‑patient specialist rehabilitation unit at Woodend Hospital, community home link services, and Horizons rehabilitation teams to meet service need; providing specialist support and advice to therapy teams across Aberdeenshire and Moray; and face‑to‑face contact with patients and staff as required.

The role also includes the support and education of students, junior staff, and support workers.

Applicants should have previous neurological rehabilitation experience as a band 6 Occupational Therapist and experience working in a variety of in‑patient and community rehabilitation settings. A valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes are required.

As of 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week; part‑time hours will be reduced proportionally, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate. The post may require extended working hours, public holiday cover, and weekend work in the future.
