Overview
Sense Scotland - Support Worker - 15 to 25 hours per week
Based in the Northfield area of Aberdeen City, we are looking for a special Female Support Worker to support 2 wonderful people in their own homes. Both people are deaf and have learning disabilities and your role will be to support them to live life to the fullest. You will provide support with personal care, medication, and finances but that's just the start!
To make these adventures possible, you'll need a full UK driving licence.
Note: This is a Female Support Worker role and for this position, female is an Occupational Requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
Shift pattern- 24 hour shifts (10am - 10am) including a sleepover
- 5 hour mid-shift for activities
- 8:30am - 4pm
- 4pm - 8:30am including a sleepover
- Flexibility to work weekends and nights is important
- Hold a full UK driving licence (manual or automatic)
- Good team-working skills and a positive attitude are essential qualities
- Ability to communicate effectively and use your own initiative
- Strong work ethic and organised to support routines
- Able to prioritise and manage workloads
- Eager to develop
- A genuine passion for caring for others
- Patience and understanding
