Position: SP237213 - Occupational Therapy Healthcare Support Worker
Location: Aberdeen City

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic healthcare support worker (HCSW) to be part of our Neurorehabilitation Pathway based at Horizons Rehabilitation Centre. Horizons provides a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation service for patients over the age of 16 who are having difficulties with their independence and day to day abilities due to a neurological condition. This service supports patients within multiple teams across Grampian.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be required to assess and treat patients, within their scope of practice working within the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy team. This will include working independently in patients own homes and community settings. Both individual and running patient group therapy sessions are integral parts of this post. Applicants should have previous experience within a neurological or stroke specific health or social care setting.

The service is supportive of providing relevant training, supervision and appraisal for the successful candidate.

There may be a requirement in the future for weekend working / public holiday working to meet the service needs.

A current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance for work purposes is essential.

Additional Information for Candidates

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
