Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with an interest in working within the Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Service sub‑speciality at NHS Forth Valley. The role delivers assessment and intervention to children and young people aged 0–18 years and coordinates with partner services to provide specialist care for complex presentations.
Responsibilities- Deliver and supervise specialist psychological care for children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental and behavioural needs.
- Collaborate closely with multi‑agency partners and contribute to clinical leadership within the service.
- Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support training and education, including placements for trainees from Doctoral, PIAT and MSc programmes.
- Postgraduate Doctoral‑level qualification (or equivalent) in Clinical or Counselling Psychology.
- Registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Experience working with children and young people presenting with complex needs.
- Additional training or experience with neurodevelopmental conditions is desirable.
- Member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
Full‑time work will be 36 hours per week (from 37 hours) with a corresponding hourly rate adjustment to maintain total pay. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata.
