About the roleAs a Health Care Assistant
, you’ll be part of a team that supports individuals with their daily care needs and helps them feel comfortable, safe, and respected. This is a permanent, full-time position working days &/or nights in one of our client's care homes in South Lanarkshire
.
Your role will be hands‑on and meaningful, supporting residents with personal care, promoting independence, and contributing to care plans. You’ll also play an important part in creating a warm, person‑centred environment where dignity comes first.
What you’ll do- Provide compassionate personal care, ensuring privacy, dignity, and respect always
- Support with daily living activities, encouraging independence where possible
- Assist with mobility and safe transfers, following appropriate procedures
- Support the care team in delivering consistent, high‑quality care
- Observe and report changes in wellbeing, following clear escalation processes
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by the service
- Promote wellbeing through companionship, encouragement, and positive communication
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure routines are effective, safe, and respectful
