Are you an experienced Speech and Language Therapist looking to develop your specialist neurological skills within a supportive and forward-thinking acute service?

We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 7 SLT to join our Acute Adult Team, specialising in Neurosciences. Based within the regional Neurosurgery and Neurology services, you will manage a complex inpatient caseload of adults with acquired neurological conditions, providing expert assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders.

This role offers opportunities to develop and enhance advanced clinical skills including:

  • Dysphagia assessment and management
  • Tracheostomy management
  • Instrumental swallowing assessment (VFSS/FEES)
  • Complex speech and language assessment and management
  • Cognitive communication assessment and management
  • Augmentative and Alternative communication

You will work closely with the Lead SLT for Neurosciences, contribute to service development and quality improvement, and support the supervision of rotational staff.

Our friendly and highly supportive acute team provides specialist services across neurosciences, stroke, critical care, ENT and head & neck cancer. We are committed to clinical excellence, innovation and professional development, with strong supervision, mentoring and CPD opportunities.
