NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly and supportive Acute Adult Speech and Language Therapy Team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

As part of our rotational programme, you will work with adults presenting with acquired speech, language, communication and swallowing disorders across a range of acute specialties. This varied role offers excellent opportunities to develop skills and experience within a busy acute hospital setting.

We are committed to supporting professional development through regular CPD opportunities, clinical supervision, and access to experienced specialist colleagues.

A key aspect of the role is the assessment and management of dysphagia. Experience in this area is desirable; however, comprehensive training and supervision can be provided.

We also welcome enquiries from newly qualified therapists or those with limited acute experience who may wish to join the service at Band 5 level. Please contact us to discuss this before applying.

An attractive relocation allowance of up to £8,000 is available in certain circumstances to successful candidates. HCPC registration is mandatory.

Informal enquiries, meetings and visits are encouraged. The provisional interview date will be Thursday 3rd September.
