Location: Aberdeen City

Rotational post 36 hours per week, Fixed term/Secondment post

We are delighted to advertise a full-time Band 5 Rotational Occupational Therapy post within our exciting and varied rotation. This post is offered on a fixed term/secondment basis for 8 months & provides the opportunity for an innovative, enthusiastic therapist to gain experience within a rotation in the Acute Sector, and Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Partnership.

Band 5 Occupational Therapist

The post will involve working closely with Senior Occupational Therapists and multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams to assess and treat patients with a variety of conditions in a number of settings, both inpatient and community.

At present, current rotations include Trauma and Elective Orthopaedics, Acute Stroke, Medical, Surgical, Critical Care, Oncology, Vascular, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, Stroke Rehabilitation, Frailty assessment and rehabilitation, and Community Rehabilitation.

Opportunities for continuous personal development (CPD) are encouraged with regular supervision, Preceptorship for newly qualified Occupational Therapists, in-service training programme and access to Band 5 Support Group

Applicants must be registered with HCPC or be due to register in the coming months, have a valid full UK Drivers Licence, and access to a car for work purposes.

There may be a requirement in the future for weekend working / Public holiday working to meet the service needs.
