Public Health Manager (Training Fellow) Band 8A, Temporary for 24 months

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join us in delivering specific projects across the three domains of public health suitable for inclusion within a UKPHR specialist registration portfolio.

The Public Health Manager (Training Fellow) will work across the Public Health Directorate, within NHS Grampian, and with partner organisations to provide leadership in development of policies, strategies, delivery plans and programmes to improve the health of the population.

The specific project work will be determined in agreement with the post holder, but all areas of work will be at a level suitable for inclusion in a UKPHR specialist registration portfolio. In this regard, the post holder will be required to play a significant role in developing and delivering aspects of population health across Grampian in a manner that complements their existing experience and expertise.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an existing commitment to achieving specialist registration by portfolio assessment with the UKPHR and the post-holder will be expected to seek pre‑submission and prepare and submit a full portfolio to the UKPHR by the end of the appointment. Time to undertake this part of the role will be provided and training support will be given as appropriate through the Grampian public health training arrangements.
