Location: Aberdeen City

Overview

HR Advisor contract role based in Aberdeen until the end of the year. Responsible for supporting the provision of HR advice, processes, policies and coordination, with the aim of delivering a timely, consistent and credible HR service across all business areas. Develops and maintains strong customer focused relationships with employees and managers, providing a timely and accurate HR service. Acts as a first point of contact for employees, ensuring they are fully aware of policies and processes, and provide responses and guidance.

Responds to internal and external HR related enquiries, escalating to HR colleagues as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Support the staff recruitment process, including providing support for managing requisitions in Workday and the offer process, including verbal offers as required.
  • Manage the onboarding of new staff hires, ensuring they are fully aware of benefits, policies, systems and processes required to ensure a positive new start experience.
  • Support Talent Management initiatives and annual programs such as succession planning and leadership development programs.
  • Support the logistics associated with internal development and training programs, including management of invites and recording of attendance.
  • Support the People Partners to manage and resolve straightforward employee relations issues, including taking Minutes at meetings.
  • Provide HR in-box management and take ownership of HR Pipeline Talent pages.
  • Provide project support in the delivery of organisational and HR initiatives and programs.
  • Work in partnership with People Partners and Managers on performance management and employee development initiatives and actions.
  • Cover for the HR Co-ordinator role in times of absence as required.
  • Continually look for and implement more effective and efficient ways of delivering HR solutions.
  • Proactively work across the team, particularly with the HR Coordinators, to provide robust and coordinated support to the business.
Qualifications / Work Experience
  • Graduate with HR generalist or specialist experience.
  • Demonstrable relationship and HR advisory skills.
  • Developing knowledge of applicable HR regulation and standards.
  • Developing knowledge of HR disciplines and the role HR plays in organisations.
  • Developing a strong contextual understanding of the business and using this to learn to understand how to develop people solutions to business challenges and risks.
  • Developing questioning, coaching and influencing skills.
  • Keeps up to date on developments in the HR profession.
  • Salary information: GBP 30,000 - 40,000 per year.
