Role DescriptionThe HR Team Lead will lead the day-to-day delivery of Andron's People Advisory and HR Services functions, ensuring managers and employees receive a consistent, responsive and professional HR service throughout the employee lifecycle.
Leading a team of HR Advisors and HR Administrators, the role will combine team leadership with hands-on responsibility for complex employee relations matters, HR operations and continuous improvement.
The HR Team Lead will ensure that HR advice, processes and services are compliant, practical, people focused and aligned with the needs of the business.
Working closely with the HR Director and wider HR team, the role will help strengthen manager capability, improve the employee experience and maintain high standards of HR service delivery across the business
Core Responsibilities- Lead and develop the HR Advisory and HR Services teams, providing clear direction, coaching and support to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
- Oversee employee relations casework, ensuring disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance and other people matters are managed fairly, consistently and in line with Company policy and employment law.
- Provide direct advice and support on complex, sensitive and high-risk employee relations matters, escalating significant risks to the HR Director where appropriate.
- Maintain oversight of HR casework, workloads and priorities, ensuring matters are progressed accurately and within appropriate timescales.
- Coach and support managers and HR colleagues to build confidence and capability in managing people matters.
- Lead and support organisational change activity, including consultation processes, redundancy exercises and TUPE transfers.
- Oversee employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, contractual changes, probation, fixed-term reviews and leavers, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Ensure HR systems, employee records and personnel files are maintained accurately and in accordance with data protection and retention requirements.
- Review and approve key HR correspondence, templates and documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, appropriate tone and compliance.
- Oversee absence management activity, ensuring appropriate follow-up, consistent application of Company procedures and visibility of trends.
- Monitor HR service delivery, including the shared HR inbox, case progression, document turnaround and other agreed service standards.
- Use HR data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead continuous improvement across HR processes, documentation and ways of working to improve efficiency and the employee and manager experience.
- Work collaboratively with the HR Director, Recruitment, Training and Development and operational teams to support wider people and business priorities.
