Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Scotland, is currently looking to recruit 2 x Management Accountants for initial 6-month contracts, with potential to extend, on a rate around £275/day (Inside IR35). This will primarily be worked from home, with the option to work from either the Edinburgh or Inverness office.

Responsibilities:

• Building partnerships and maintaining relationships with regional and functional leads to improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance.
• Support functional leads in preparing their annual budgets.
• Prepare monthly budget variance reports and reconciliations.
• Critically appraise information, providing challenge where required;
  · improve the existing management information to enable decision making by FLS and the business areas.
• Provide direction and support in respect of financial decision making.
• Contribute to the delivery of a high-quality management accounting service.
• Provide support and deputise when necessary for the Senior Finance Manager.
• Ideally, the successful candidate will be CCAB (or equivalent) qualified or part qualified (working towards being fully qualified).
• Experienced management accountant.
• Communicating and presenting financial information to colleagues across the organisation.
• Financial planning monitoring and reporting.
• Giving guidance on financial matters and giving critical challenge.
• Working in partnership with stakeholders.
• Prioritising tasks and responding to competing demands.
• Skilled in the use of Finance Systems
