Senior Application Support Engineer

An opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a secure, mission-critical environment. You will be responsible for supporting and enhancing enterprise infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of systems while working closely with technical teams and end users.

• Design, deploy, and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance.
• Automate operational processes using configuration management and scripting tools.
• Support production systems and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, and security.
• Assist with system integrations and technical onboarding activities.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line support across infrastructure and platform services.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventative measures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational best practices.

• Strong understanding of infrastructure, networking, and system administration.
• Experience supporting Linux-based environments.
• Knowledge of structured data formats including JSON, XML, and CSV.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive and collaborative approach to problem solving.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Dev Ops practices.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tooling.
• Kubernetes or containerisation experience.
