SharePoint & Information Management Analyst

As a SharePoint & Information Management Analyst, you will work as part of our customer’s wider Information Management team, providing hands‑on support across Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms, with a particular focus on SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams. You will support the administration and day‑to‑day management of SharePoint sites, Teams, channels, permissions and external collaboration, helping ensure users can access and manage information effectively and securely.

Alongside the technical administration of these platforms, you will support the application of Information Management governance, retention, security and classification requirements. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will provide guidance, resolve information and access‑related issues, and help ensure information is managed consistently in line with established policies and procedures.

This role would suit someone who combines practical Microsoft 365 administration experience with a good understanding of Information Management principles and governance.

Please note, this role is based fully on‑site in Aberdeen.

• Create, configure and manage Microsoft Teams, channels and associated permissions.

• Create and administer SharePoint Online sites, permissions and access requirements.

• Support external collaboration and guest access across Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

• Investigate and resolve access, permission and guest‑user issues.

• Provide second‑line support for Microsoft Teams and SharePoint‑related incidents and service requests.

• Support the effective management of information across Microsoft 365 collaboration platforms.

• Apply and reinforce Information Management policies, standards and procedures across SharePoint and Teams environments.

• Support compliance with information retention, security, records management and information classification requirements.

• Help ensure appropriate access controls are maintained in line with business and Information Management requirements.

• Provide guidance and support to users on the effective and compliant use of Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

• Work with the wider Information Management team to identify and support improvements to information management practices.

• Assist with the ongoing governance and administration of Microsoft 365 collaboration environments.

• Work with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and support effective information sharing and collaboration.

  • Hands‑on experience administering SharePoint Online, including sites, permissions and access.
  • Good understanding of SharePoint security and permission models.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting user access and permissions within Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Entra  (Azure AD) and its role in user, group and access management.
  • Understanding of information governance principles, including information security, retention, classification and appropriate access.
  • Experience supporting users and resolving system or information‑related queries.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a customer‑focused approach.
  • Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage requests and work effectively as part of a wider team.
