Interim Private Client Solicitor

An established and well‑regarded Scottish law firm is seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join its respected team in Aberdeen on a fixed‑term contract. Although this is an initial FTC, there is the possibility that the role could become permanent, subject to workload and business needs. The firm is known for combining traditional values with a modern, proactive approach, offering expertise across property, business, personal and court law.

You will work closely with experienced colleagues while having the autonomy to run your own files and contribute to the continued growth of the department.

You will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, including:

• Wills, Powers of Attorney and guardian ships
• Estate administration
• Trusts and tax planning
• Providing clear, empathetic guidance to clients at all stages

You will have a minimum of one year’s post‑qualification experience in private client work and will bring strong technical skills alongside a genuinely client‑centred approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working closely with individuals and families during important life moments. A STEP qualification, or a willingness to work towards one, would be welcomed but is not essential.
