JAB Recruitment is currently sourcing a Stores Foreman for a permanent opportunity based in Aberdeen.

This role would suit an experienced stores or logistics professional with strong stock-control knowledge and previous experience supervising a small team within a fast-paced operational, engineering or offshore services environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the stores function, ensuring materials, equipment and workshop parts are received, stored, recorded and dispatched safely and accurately.

You will work closely with the workshop, operations and QHSE teams to ensure materials are available when required and that all associated certification, documentation and systems are kept up to date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support the Stores team.
  • Receive and inspect incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventories for company, client and rental equipment.
  • Pick and prepare materials and equipment for workshop activities.
  • Coordinate container packing, pallet preparation, manifests and general load-outs.
  • Arrange and coordinate internal and external material movements.
  • Maintain accurate records within the ERP and stock-control systems.
  • Ensure lifting certification is current for containers and shipments.
  • Prepare customer paperwork and dangerous goods documentation where required.
  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely.
  • Support stock takes and internal or external audits.
  • Work closely with other departments to maintain effective stock control and accurate invoicing.
  • Contribute to housekeeping, 6S and equipment‑tagging standards.
  • Participate in the services on‑call rota.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
Experience and Qualifications

The successful candidate should have:

  • Previous stores, warehouse or logistics experience within an engineering, offshore or operational environment.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating a team.
  • Strong stock‑control and organisational skills.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP and IT systems.
  • An understanding of tooling, equipment and spares used for offshore and onshore operations.
  • Knowledge of logistics, equipment certification and material movements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
  • A valid forklift licence.
Dangerous goods, overhead crane or additional equipment‑handling training would be advantageous, although further training may be provided.#J-18808-Ljbffr
