Freight Forwarder; Road

Join an established international logistics organisation as a Road Freight Forwarder in Aberdeen, on a full‑time, permanent basis. This role offers the chance to own domestic and international road freight operations and help grow the road freight function within a leading global business.

• Plan and coordinate UK domestic and international road freight shipments.
• Manage daily communication with customers, hauliers, subcontractors, and drivers.
• Arrange and monitor transport bookings and operational activities.
• Provide transport quotations and cost‑effective delivery solutions.
• Handle transport documentation and customs‑related administration where required.
• Monitor shipment progress and resolve operational challenges proactively.
• Optimise load planning, routing, and operational profitability.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Support business growth through exceptional service delivery and commercial awareness.

• Minimum 5 years' experience within road freight forwarding or transport operations.
• Experience managing UK and European road transport movements.
• Strong operational knowledge with a commercial mindset.
• Experience using Transport Management Systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of customs procedures and post‑Brexit transport requirements would be advantageous.
• Organised, proactive, customer‑focused, and capable of working autonomously.
