We're building one of the UK's fastest-growing fibre networks, connecting communities across Scotland and beyond. As a Network Build Engineer, you'll be at the heart of that journey, playing a hands-on role in delivering, activating and maintaining the infrastructure that keeps our customers connected.

What does a day look like?
  • Installing and commissioning network equipment across data centres, street cabinets, POP sites and telephone exchanges.
  • Connecting power supplies, UPS systems, fibre and copper cabling.
  • Testing equipment and completing checks to make sure each site is ready for service.
  • Keeping cabling neat, correctly labelled and fully documented.
  • Updating diagrams, port maps, power audits and commissioning records.
  • Responding to on-site faults, replacing hardware and completing post-repair checks.
  • Working closely with our Network Engineering, NOC, Build Partners and Project Management teams to keep projects moving and sites ready for handover
What We're looking for
  • Experience of structured cabling, or a keen interest in developing this knowledge.
  • An understanding of fibre optics, GPON or XGSPON.
  • A safety-first approach and confidence following site rules, risk assessments and PPE requirements.
  • Great attention to detail, particularly when installing, labelling and documenting equipment.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues before they cause delays.
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues, contractors and delivery partners.
  • Good planning and time-management skills, with the ability to prepare effectively for site visits.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Why GoFibre?

You'll join a supportive and ambitious team where your work has a visible impact every day. Whether you're commissioning new sites, resolving network issues or helping deliver key Project Gigabit milestones, you'll be trusted to make a real difference while continuing to develop your technical skills and experience.

  • Company car
  • 31 days' holiday
  • Enhanced pension scheme

At GoFibre, we know diverse teams build better businesses. If you're excited about this opportunity but don't meet every single requirement, we'd still love to hear from you. Your experience, potential and perspective could be exactly what we're looking for.

This role requires you to meet our insurer’s criteria: hold a full UK driving licence, be at least 21 years old, and have no more than 6 penalty points.
