Deeside Care Home is a highly regarded, purpose-built 68-bed nursing, residential and dementia service located in the Cults area of Aberdeen. Known for its warm culture, strong leadership and consistently high standards of care, Deeside operates at 94% occupancy, holds an excellent  score of 9.8, and achieved Care Inspectorate grades of 5, 5, 5, 4, 5 at its most recent inspection.

This vacancy has arisen because the current Home Manager is progressing to commission a brand-new service within the group - a reflection of both individual success and Care Concern Group’s continued growth.

Deeside is not a home in difficulty. It is a stable, high-performing service that works because of its people, its culture and its leadership, and now requires an experienced Home Manager who can protect that stability while thoughtfully evolving the service into its next phase.

Deeside provides nursing, residential, dementia, respite and palliative care across three units, supporting residents with a range of clinical and emotional needs.

The Opportunity

As Home Manager, you will hold full accountability for the performance, culture and reputation of Deeside Care Home.

Your focus will be on protecting what already works. You will be responsible for maintaining strong and consistent Care Inspectorate outcomes, sustaining high occupancy and sound commercial performance and retaining and developing a committed, stable workforce. Just as importantly, you will provide visible, credible leadership to residents, families and professionals, ensuring confidence in the service while continuing to evolve Deeside in a thoughtful, measured way that strengthens rather than disrupts its culture.

You will inherit a home with positive momentum, but that brings responsibility. High-performing services rely on leadership consistency, emotional intelligence and attention to detail. Your role is to provide that reassurance - to staff, residents and families alike.

This position requires a leader who is confident without being disruptive, and ambitious without being careless. Someone who understands that progress in a good home is built through steady leadership, not constant change.

About You

You are an experienced Home Manager with a proven track record of leading a nursing, dementia or mixed-care service. You understand the realities of managing a large care home
-balancing quality, compliance, workforce stability and financial performance and you can clearly articulate how these elements connect.

You bring a strong grasp of Care Inspectorate standards and governance, alongside the commercial confidence to manage occupancy, budgets and complex staffing models. You lead with calm authority, building trust quickly through emotional intelligence, consistency and credibility. Above all, you are values-led. You prioritise dignity, respect and stability, and understanding that sustainable performance is built through people, culture and disciplined leadership.
