We're now looking for a First Line Manager to oversee our transport activities, ensure compliance, and drive performance across a team of drivers and warehouse colleagues.

• Lead and manage a team of mainly drivers and a small number of warehouse colleagues, ensuring effective task delegation and performance monitoring
• Oversee daily transport operations with a strong focus on compliance, including WTD regulations and drivers' hours
• Carry out HR responsibilities such as 1:1s, performance reviews and absence management to support colleague development
• Liaising with the customer to resolve any queries, ensuring a high standard of service and operational delivery
• Manage on-site transport activity across a fleet of 6 vehicles, promoting safety, efficiency, and operational excellence

• Proven experience in a similar supervisory or first-line management role, with strong people management skills
• Confident user of IT systems, including Microsoft Office and Transport Management Systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, drivers, and customers
• Strong organisational and problem solving abilities, able to prioritise tasks in a fast paced transport environment
• Knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements (e.g., WTD and drivers' hours) is highly desirable
