Peridot Recruit is recruiting on behalf of an established, owner-managed business within the automotive services sector. The client is seeking a senior commercial and operational leader to take day-to-day control of performance, people, and process.

To lead commercial growth while bringing operational discipline and clarity, acting as the owner's deputy and reducing reliance on owner involvement in daily decision‑making.

• Drive sales performance, customer acquisition, and pricing strategy
• Lead marketing activity, promotions, and local partnerships
• Act as a senior representative and face of the business

• Standardise operational processes and performance reporting
• Improve internal and external communication and decision‑flow
• Ensure operational competitiveness and service consistency

• Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management
• Create a positive, accountable environment where teams perform
• Resolve operational issues through leadership ownership

• Act on behalf of the owner where required
• Take commercial and operational decisions with confidence

• Measurable improvement in revenue and customer engagement
• Reduced owner dependency in daily operations

During probation, the postholder will learn and embed within the business, with leadership responsibility increasing as understanding and trust are established.
