Registered Manager - Care

About the Role

Registered Manager – Care at Home, based 14 miles north of Inverness (within two hours of Aberdeen). The role leads a rural operation delivering around 700 hours of care per week, with a target to grow to 1,000 hours. The service is operational, delivering care in a large rural geography and requires a registered leader to own the business, grow it sustainably and build stability.

• Lead and manage a team of 26 care practitioners, a Care Coordinator and Team Leads.
• Maintain live and relevant care plans across a spread‑out rural geography.
• Oversee lone worker safety and supervision.
• Build and protect commissioner relationships with NHS Highland.
• Design and manage a dynamic weekly rota that adapts to changing demands.
• Drive company inspection outcomes, ensuring compliance with inspection standards.
• Deliver steady growth toward 1,000 hours, a retained and well‑supervised team, and a strong inspection outcome by the end of year one.
• Operate within the service's budget; collaborate with higher management for budget sign‑off.

Operations Manager above you – a former Operations Director for one of the Highlands' largest providers, well‑connected across the sector and experienced in operational care at home.

• Several years working within care at home services, not just social care.
• Registered Manager experience or a clear, credible route to registration.
• Confidence with compliance, inspection standards and stakeholder relationships.
• A full UK driving licence.

• SCQF Level 9 in a health, social work or related field.
• Leadership and Management at SCQF Level 10 (or a committed plan to complete it).
• SVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or readiness to move quickly toward it.
