Operations Manager

Cammach, acting as the employment business, is supporting our client, an independent oil and gas operator, with the appointment of an experienced Operations Manager for an immediate start. The successful candidate will join the Asset Team in Aberdeen on a contract running through to December 2026.

The purpose of the Operations Manager is to provide leadership to the ongoing onshore and offshore operations whilst creating significant value for the business through stewardship of the operated and non-operated assets across the full lifecycle: safe, compliant operational performance and effective cost management delivering positive net cash to the business. Through strong and effective leadership of the teams to:

• Ensures compliance, safe operations and integrity of the Asset.
• Act as a figurehead, hold legal accountability for the business and manage key stakeholders within the asset group.
• Key contributor to definition of strategic operating direction and ensure operations, maintenance and Inspection execution of the business plan from 8Q down.
• Promote best operations practice across the operated asset portfolio.
• Collaborate closely with technical and support functions.
• Ensure robust asset management policies and strategies are in place to maximise value for the business through life of field.

• Highly skilled at solving problems effectively and reducing complexity. Able to find a way through ambiguity, distinguish priorities from ‘noise’ and resolve competing demands. Balances short-and long-term thinking.
• Experience in managing large budgets effectively.
• Ability to lead emergency response including command and control skills.

• Educated to degree level
• The job holder must possess depth of experience in management onshore and/or offshore operations within the oil and gas industry.
• Experience of working in a major oil and gas company is beneficial.
• Experience in Asset Operations along with one or more of Engineering, Commercial, planning leadership
