How you’ll power our business as a Terminal Operator SupervisorAs a Terminal Operator Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient and effective operation of our Terminal. You’ll supervise a team of Terminal Operators, maintaining high safety standards while supporting the team to deliver operational excellence, exceptional customer service and our Safety F1rst culture. You’ll lead, coach and develop colleagues, ensuring the Terminal operates safely and efficiently while meeting the needs of our customers and the wider business.

Supervise a team of Terminal Operators, ensuring the Terminal is maintained to a high safety standard.
Receive ships bringing in fuel and ensure fuel is correctly and safely discharged into storage tanks.
Carry out fuel testing to ensure products conform to specification.
Carry out maintenance activities within the Terminal.
Complete tank dips and other operational checks as required.
Carry out bunkering of fuel to ships.
Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
Maintain high standards of Terminal housekeeping.
Ensure the effective use of IT systems in line with relevant Company policies and procedures.
Train new colleagues in line with their defined job roles and provide ongoing support and coaching to develop their skills.
Manage and review the performance of colleagues through regular meetings and audits of the Wellworker system.
Identify training and development needs through effective and regular personal development reviews.
Support first-stage recruitment and play an active role in the selection and appointment of direct reports where required.
Manage employee relations effectively, maintaining productive relationships with the workforce.
Coach and motivate colleagues to build morale, support retention and create a positive team environment.
Maintain optimum staffing levels to meet business needs, including managing holidays and attendance.
Keep colleague information up to date on the cascade reporting system, including holidays and sickness.
Ensure all Company policies and procedures are followed.
Support the Terminal Supervisors and Terminal Manager as required.
Promote teamwork through enthusiasm, co-operation and flexibility, treating colleagues with respect.
Communicate and promote our Core Values and business objectives within the team.
Take responsibility for your own personal development.
Motivate and develop the team, ensuring colleagues have the skills required to perform their roles effectively, while identifying and developing key individuals for future progression and succession planning.
