Yard Operative

We’re looking for a proactive and reliable Yard Operative to support our busy site operations.

• Deliver service as defined in KPIs.
• Data entry/management in company systems.
• Operation of site plant and equipment including forklift trucks and air tools/pumps.
• Inspect, clean, relabel and maintain all reusable containers.
• Minimise asset damage through correct use and regular inspections.
• Adhere to all procedures and controls within TBRAs.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times.
• Participate in reviews of SOP, TBRA, MHRA.
• Adhere to working instructions from daily TBT.
• Perform value‑adding processes as directed by the Site Chargehand/Management.

• Valid forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
• Relevant experience in a warehouse or yard environment.
• Knowledge of health and safety on hazardous waste sites.

• Maintains positive work relationships.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations.
• Reliable and conscientious.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised.
• Proactive in seeking and implementing ways to improve operational performance.
• Good understanding of health and safety on hazardous waste sites.

• Experience in waste and dangerous chemicals handling.
