Sewing Machinist

We're on the lookout for an ambitious Sewing Machinist to become an integral part of our client's textile factory in East Ayrshire. If you're passionate about fabrics and ready to bring your enthusiasm to this role, this opportunity is tailor-made for you!

You can expect an annual salary of £25,397 per annum. The shift pattern for this position entails working from 06:45 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday meaning you get a long weekend every week!

Your primary responsibility will be stitching cotton materials according to specifications. Additionally, you will be expected to assist with various make‑up tasks, including cutting, inspecting, folding, and pressing, to ensure the final product meets quality standards. Flexibility and attention to detail are essential, as you may be required to support different stages of the production process as needed.

The ideal applicant should have prior experience in a similar sewing or stitching role, demonstrating proficiency in working with fabric and garment construction. Strong attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to quality are essential. Additionally, the ability to perform efficiently under pressure, manage workload effectively, and consistently meet deadlines is crucial for success in this role. Previous experience with twin needle sewing machines would be a plus, but is not essential.
