Are you experienced in arc welding processes like TIG, PAW, and MMA? Do you possess the capability to interpret engineering drawings, including weld symbols, ensuring precision and accuracy? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
We are a total manufacturing solution facility for the supply of medium to large fabricated and machined equipment, looking to appoint an experienced fabricator/welder to our growing team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our projects.
The salary for this role starts at £32,300 for day shifts during probation/training. Once training and probation are completed, and the successful candidate starts the night shift, it increases to £36,300-£37,500, depending on skill level.
Post-probation, positions operate on a 2-week rotational days/nights schedule, with a maximum of 46 hours per week.
Days:
Monday – Thursday: 07:00-17:30 (half-hour unpaid lunch);
Friday: 07:00-13:00
Nights:
Monday – Thursday: 18:30-06:30 (half-hour unpaid lunch)
Key Responsibilities:
- The assembly, fabrication, and welding of stainless-steel parts and sub-assemblies.
- Carrying out other processes within the facility to complete work as needed and collaborating with peers to ensure timely and first-time-right operations.

The Person
- A strong interest in welding, fabrication, and materials, ideally holding an approved Level 3 Qualification (NVQ, VRQ, Technical Certificate, Diploma, Apprenticeship) in an engineering subject and/or a minimum of 5 years' 'on-the-job' experience.
- Experience with arc welding processes such as TIG, PAW, MMA, MIG/MAG, FCAW, SAW.
- Experience with manual, mechanized, or robotic welding.
- Project experience from concept to product realization.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including weld symbols.
- Ability to work as part of a team to achieve quality standards and meet production deadlines.
- Able to operate overhead cranes and workshop equipment.
- Adherence to health and safety rules and requirements is essential.
