Process Engineer (Manufacturing)
Location:
Aldershot Salary: £38,000 Overtime Benefits
Shift: Days (Mon-Thurs 7:00-16:30 / Fri 7:00-12:30) Type:
Permanent, On-site We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in the Aldershot area who are looking to appoint a Process Engineer to support continued growth and investment across their production facility. The Role:
Working closely with production and engineering teams, you will play a key role in developing and improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introduction and ensuring quality and efficiency across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and document production processes for rubber moulding and related assembly operations
* Support new product introduction by determining robust moulding parameters and process flow
* Collaborate with internal and external teams on tooling design, product feasibility and continuous improvement
* Investigate and resolve production issues on the shop floor, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
* Train operators on new processes and ensure smooth handover into production
* Manage individual projects and timelines to meet customer and internal requirements
* Monitor and control critical quality characteristics of rubber-based products
* Ensure all processes meet safety, quality and performance standards Technical Exposure May Include:
* Injection, compression and transfer moulding
* Rubber testing and measurement
* Rubber-to-metal and rubber-to-substrate bonding
* Tooling development with CAD and tooling specialists
* Finishing, trimming and inspection processes Requirements:
* Understanding or experience within injection, compression or transfer moulding
* Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to learn and operate moulding machinery
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Experience in plastics, polymers or injection moulding would be advantageous
* Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced production environment What's on
