Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Tig Fabricator/Welder role based in the Greater Aberdeen Area. The Tig Fabricator/Welder will interpret technical drawings and specifications, prepare materials, and carry out high-quality TIG welding and fabrication of stainless steel components. Daily tasks include cutting, forming, and assembling metal parts, checking dimensions and tolerances, and ensuring all work meets internal quality standards and client requirements.

The role involves using workshop tools and machinery safely, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and working collaboratively with colleagues to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications
  • Strong TIG welding skills in stainless steel, with proven experience in fabrication and assembly of metal structures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, isometrics, and fabrication plans, with accurate measurement and layout skills.
  • Experience using workshop tools and machinery (e.g., grinders, cutting equipment, forming tools) safely and efficiently.
  • Solid understanding of welding quality standards, inspection of welds, and adherence to relevant safety and industry regulations.
  • Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver precise work within agreed timelines.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a small team in a busy fabrication workshop environment.
  • Relevant welding or fabrication qualifications/apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
  • Previous experience in oil and gas, food and beverage, or related process industries is advantageous.
